It’s far too easy to get the vibe from this city, I am enthusiastic about my one day trip at Lake Como and the sense of peace that this place gave me . I know there are plenty of people that seem to enjoy the peaceful life of a quiet town /country town , but I don’t think I’m one of them , at least not yet! It’s easy to imagine the adult life in a quite “Villa ” , surrounded by the beauty of the nature , but when are we suppose to accept it? I thought that going on with my life things will be clearer ,but still … here I am , trying to enjoy life and imagine my future some place else . I am planning back a second time, maybe I’d understand it a little better! Anyway an escape from the Milano Centrale to Lake Como isn’t such a life commitment , don’t worry!
A FEW TIPS :
Consider a couple of day off : The stunning Lake Como is a lovely day trip from Milan, but I strongly recommend spending a couple of full days here to relax, and soak up the atmosphere and the inspirational lake views. If you do you’ll have time to explore a few of Lake Como’s villages, like Como, Bellagio, and Varenna .
The station : If you can’t wait to see the famous lake you should stop at station stops Como Lago or Como S. Giovanni; the closest to the lake! (for both train tickets, we paid a total of €12 per person)
Build memories : This is definitely not a common shopping place ,It’s better to spend money on experiences , as boat trips, yacht rides & helicopter views. Consider riding the 7-minute funicular up to the town of Brunate, the view is simply incredible! All over of Lake Como… (don’t forget to book in advance) !
To visit : Visit The Como Cathedral , considered to be one of the most beautiful monuments in Northern Italy
The mountains and fresh air are calling your name, how can you resist??
